IT can be tough for renters out there. With all the rules and regulations turning a rented house into a home is no easy feat.
But sometimes you’ve got to take a risk and ignore people who try to restrict your creativity.
One DIY fan who zoned out the haters is Imani
In a recent TikTok video she confessed she was called crazy for decorating her studio apartment with adhesive wallpaper.
She said: “I was called all kinds of crazy for putting pasted wallpaper over tiles in my rental.”
Whilst undoing her studio apartment the renter said she proved her haters wrong by how easy it was to remove.
“But here’s the thing it looked fantastic and came off super easy, it was just falling off in sheets.”
“Because these tiles were coated with Rustolian tube the actual tiles remain unharmed.”
The DIY fan admitted she struggled in some spots but quickly found an easy solution.
She said: “In a few places where the adhesive really stuck I just grabbed a steamer and plucked it right off.”
Imani said her entire apartment was full of renter friendly interior hacks.
“But this got me reflecting on how many popular renter friendly hacks I've tried in this apartment.”

“So I’m sharing my final thoughts and a couple of recommendations I would never do again.”
"And just like that I've taken down my most controversial DIY ever! Who knew putting up pasted removable wallpaper would inspire such harsh feelings?"
The renter is now looking forward to moving into a new bigger apartment.
Imania’s video gained over 28,000 views and the DIY fan was praised for believing in her own methods.
