ALTHOUGH an exciting time, decorating a house you’ve just moved into can be a difficult task to undertake.
From simple things like accessories to place on the coffee table to the type of bedding you want, there’s so much choice available.
One of the most important things to consider in the entire process is what colour to paint your walls.
You could keep them white, but where’s the fun in that?
Many people tend to go for an accent wall or neutral colours to make the home decor pop more.
Now, one luxury interior designer has shared her thoughts on the matter, warning people against choosing three specific colours for their bedroom in particular.
Sitting on an orange chair wearing a black suit, the brunette beauty shared: “You should avoid these three colours in your bedroom and here is why…”
The first colour, she said, is red, explaining that it is “invigorating, bold and energetic”.
“It’s not the vibe you want to have in your bedroom,” she added.
Moving onto the second colour, she continued: “Black. It’s dark, gloomy, too serious. It feels rainy. It’s not the way you want to start your day.”
And the final colour is blue as she explained: “Surprisingly, bold blues.
“Blue can be a great colour for a bedroom in its light-suiting form. But if you go with its dark and bold shades, it can make your bedroom feel like an office area or a waiting area.”
“So it’s a no-go,” TikTok user @lavilla_dubai added, before urging viewers to reveal whether they’ve ever made these “mistakes” and encouraging them to share the colour of their bedrooms.
People were quick to comment on the post as one person wrote: “I still like my black room you can’t change my mind”.
Another said: “mhm I have black cuz I’m serious, all my clothes are black too,” as a third shared: “but I like red and black”.
A fourth added: “You just told me I can’t have my dream bedroom colour scheme dark blue with black secondary and gold accents”.
