Senior Advocate B.V. Acharya, who served as Special Public Prosecutor and Special Counsel in the disproportionate assets case involving former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala, said the Supreme Court verdict is a message to those persons involved in corruption.
He said no one can escape from the law and justice system of the country.
Mr. Acharya also said that the High Court itself would have convicted Jayalalithaa if it had not committed an "arithmetical error" in calculating the quantum of disproportionate assets.
