Avadi Corp issues QRcode-imprinted identity cards to pay tax – Construction World

In an effort to streamline the resolution of complaints and modernize the collection of property taxes, the Avadi Municipal Corporation has begun giving out OR code ID cards to citizens. Residents claim that they weren’t informed or intimidated about using the cards.

A property ID number and an OR code are printed on the plastic card.
Residents can scan the code to pay their property taxes, access various services, and file complaints about the rubbish collection process, the water supply, and other shortcomings.
