A YOUNG boy fell to his death from his kitchen window on the 15th floor of a tower block, an inquest heard today.
Aalim Ahmed landed on railings at the bottom of the block of flats in Plaistow, East London.
The five-year-old's cause of death was given as multiple injuries due to trauma from a "fall from height", an inquest was told today.
Little Aalim's body was discovered by his dad shortly before 6am on May 16.
Members of the public called emergency crews after hearing the heartbroken dad's "distressed" cries, it was said.
Aalim died instantly in the 150ft horror, with his body identified by his devastated family.
Assistant Coroner Ian Wade KC confirmed he was opening a "coronial investigation" .
He told Walthamstow Coroner's Court this is because he is "quite satisfied that Ahmed's death was not from natural causes".
Horrified neighbours previously told how they heard screaming after Aalim, who was previously named locally as Aalim Makial Jibril, fell to his death.
JJ, who lives on the 12th floor of the block, told The Sun: “I heard something outside.
“I looked down and saw a man standing over a child screaming ‘my boy, my boy, my boy is dead' repeatedly.
“He was distraught and walking in circles. It was horrible to see.
“I couldn’t go down there because it was too awful.”
His aunt, Maryan Hadafow, said the Arsenal-mad footie fan had opened the kitchen window after waking up early for school, while his mum and dad slept.
His mum had reportedly complained to Newham Council before the tragedy about the windows being unsafe.
The council confirmed it is investigating the circumstances.
Abi Gbago, chief executive, said: "We are undertaking a full investigation to reach the fullest possible understanding of what happened, and will fully support any other investigations.
"Once all of the relevant facts are established and investigations are concluded, which we will do as quickly as possible, we will provide an update."
