A FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy who was charged with having a knife on him after police were called to a park has appeared in court.
Officers attended The Duckeries, in Parr on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 23, after it was reported a number of youths had knives on them.
A police dog also attended the scene to assist officers.

Two suspects, a boy and a girl, both aged 14, were arrested at the park.
They were both charged with possession of a knife.
The boy appeared at Merseyside Youth Court before District Judge Boswell on Wednesday, January 24.
He indicated a guilty plea to the charge of having a kitchen knife in his possession at the park.
The teenager, from Southport, who cannot be identified because of his age, was referred to a youth offender panel for eight months.
The court also ordered for a £26 surcharge to be paid.
The boy’s guilty plea was taken into account upon sentencing.
Meanwhile, the 14-year-old girl, is due to appear in court on February 6.
