Power supply to remain suspended in and around Chennai’s Injambakkam, Adyar, and Avadi on Wednesday from 9 AM to 2 PM for maintenance work, said Tangedco. It stated that if the work is finished earlier than expected, the power supply will be restored by 2 PM.
Injambakkam: Akkarai Village, Allikulam, Anna Enclave, Bethel Nagar North and South, Copper Beach Road, ECR, Kakkan Street, Kasthurba Nagar, Neelankarai Kuppam, Panaiyur Kuppam, Rajiv Avenue, Thiruvallur Salai, TVS Avenue and VOC Street.
Adyar: Tidal Park – CPT Campus and Kanagam Housing Board.
Avadi: Sothuperumbedu – Karanodai, Devanery, Sirinium, Orakadu, Gnaayiru and Nerkundram.
A few days ago, there was a power outage in Chennai’s Taramani, Madipakkam, and Minjur areas for maintenance work.

According to provisions under section 131 of the Electricity Act 2003, TNEB was restructured on November 1, 2010, into TNEB Limited, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO).
