Chennai: Train services in Chennai will undergo changes due to a mega block for the conversion of points at Chennai Central station. The Southern Railway has announced the following alterations in train patterns on April 1 and April 2. Some train services will be diverted, while others will be short terminated at Avadi, Tiruvallur and Chennai Beach.

Train No. 13352 Alappuzha Dhanbad Express departing from Alappuzha at 06:00 hrs on April 2, 2024, will be diverted via Perambur, skipping the stop at Dr MGR Chennai Central.

Train No. 12512 Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Raptisagar Express departing from Kochuveli at 06:35 hrs on April 2, 2024, will be diverted via Perambur, skipping the stop at Dr MGR Chennai Central. An additional stoppage will be provided at Perambur (11:00 (Arr)/11:10 (Dep)) for passenger convenience.
Train No. 22645 Indore Kochuveli Superfast Express departing from Indore at 16:45 hrs on April 1, 2024, will be diverted via Perambur, skipping the stop at Dr MGR Chennai Central. An additional stoppage will be provided at Perambur (23:00 (Arr)/23:15 (Dep)) for passenger convenience.
Train No. 13351 Dhanbad Alappuzha Express departing from Dhanbad at 11:35 hrs on April 1, 2024, will be diverted via Perambur, skipping the stop at Dr MGR Chennai Central. An additional stoppage will be provided at Perambur (23:45 (Arr)/23:55 (Dep)) for passenger convenience.

Change in Destination/Termination at Avadi:

Train No. 22650 Erode Dr MGR Chennai Central Yercaud Express departing from Erode at 21:00 hrs on April 2, 2024, will be partially canceled between Avadi and Dr MGR Chennai Central. The train will be short terminated at Avadi.
Train No. 12658 KSR Bengaluru – Dr Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail Express departing from KSR Bengaluru at 22:40 hrs on April 2, 2024, will be partially canceled between Avadi and Dr MGR Chennai Central. The train will be short terminated at Avadi.

Change in Destination/Origination at Chennai Beach:

Train No. 12657 Dr MGR Chennai Central – KSR Bengaluru Mail Express departing from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 22:50 hrs on April 2, 2024, will originate from Chennai Beach at 22:50 hrs.
Train No. 12839 Howrah Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail departing from Howrah at 23:55 hrs on April 1, 2024, will be diverted and short terminated at Chennai Beach.
Train No. 12842 Dr MGR Chennai Central Shalimar Coromondel Express departing from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 07:00 hrs on April 3, 2024, will originate from Chennai Beach at 07:00 hrs.

Train No. 22649 Dr MGR Chennai Central Erode Yercaud Express departing from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 23:00 hrs on April 2, 2024, will originate from Chennai Egmore at 23:00 hrs.

Change in Destination/Termination at Tiruvallur:

Train No. 22640 Alappuzha Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express departing from Alappuzha at 15.20 hrs on 2 April, 2024 will be partially cancelled between Tiruvallur and Dr MGR Chennai Central. The train will be short terminated at Tiruvallur
