Commemorating National Fudge Day on 16 June, the fudge maker donated a meal for each sachet of drinking fudge bought via giving partner Work for Good.
In addition, each shop produced a batch of Birthday Cake Fudge which customers could pay whatever price they like for, with all the proceeds also going to FareShare – enough to provide 3,000 meals.
Fudge Kitchen’s partnership with FareShare is part of the confectioner’s wider commitment to corporate social responsibility and its goals of making a positive impact on the environment and society.
The company has implemented eco-friendly practices in its operations, focusing on responsible sourcing of ingredients and reducing its environmental footprint. In 2023 they raised just over £15,000 for charities via their partnerships with Work for Good and B1G1.
This year Fudge Kitchen is aiming to raise £17,000 for causes across the UK and globally and has won local recognition in the Taste of Kent awards for its contribution to community initiatives and support for other local businesses.
In 2019, the fudge maker expanded its reach internationally, having secured export deals for its products in Canada, Germany and the United Arab Emirates – deals that saw the company double the size of its product team to help meet demand.
Fudge Kitchen was also recognised for its achievements at this year’s Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, having taken home the prize for Ambient Manufacturing Company of the Year.
Meanwhile, join our editor as she steps inside The Felix Project Enfield warehouse and journeys with the food as it makes its way to the Bruce Grove Youth Space in London.

This mini documentary shows the ins and outs of the London-based redistribution charity, The Felix Project, revealing how food is sourced, sorted and delivered to communities.
