Isolated hailstorm activity is predicted over Uttarakhand during this period.
Certain regions across the country will also experience heatwave conditions with maximum temperatures exceeding 40°C. While West Rajasthan saw temperatures as high as 43-46°C, parts of Gujarat and northern Madhya Maharashtra saw 40-43°C. These temperatures were 2-4°C above normal in Rajasthan and 1-2°C above normal in the other areas.
Heatwave conditions were also reported in some pockets of West Rajasthan on Wednesday. These conditions are expected to prevail in isolated pockets over East Rajasthan and Saurashtra and Kutch today, and in West Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh from May 9-10.
