BBC Strictly host Tess Daly and BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay live a very lavish life thanks to their successful showbiz careers – let’s take a look inside their stunning home
Tess Daly and Vernon Kay aren’t your average couple. While Tess, 54, is pretty much a big deal this time of the year due to her Strictly Come Dancing presenting duties, her husband Vernon, 49, is now settled into his role as the new host of BBC Radio 2’s mid-morning show.
As well as their current showbiz stints, the pair have been very successful in their media careers over the years, which has built them up a whopping net worth. As per The Sun, Vernon’s individual wealth is a cool £2 million, while Tess’ is a reported £3 million. You do the maths in terms of their combined net worth then…
Thanks to their huge salaries, it’s meant that the famous couple have been able to splash out on their Buckinghamshire family home (see: mansion), where they reside with their two daughters, Phoebe, 19, and Amber, 13.
From a sprawling living room to their huge kitchen, let’s take a look inside Tess Daly and Vernon Kay’s lavish property…
Thanks to plenty of Instagram shots of Tess, Vernon and co at home, fans have been able to inadvertently get a glance at the couple’s property.
Behind this sweet shot, it’s clear to see that Tess and Vernon have gone for a clean, fresh minimalist vibe in their home. From white walls to a black marble counter, we’re taking a wild guess that this is the couple’s kitchen.
Yep, we were right – thanks to Tess dropping a wholesome snap of her cooking creations in her sprawling kitchen.
Away from the white walls, Tess and Vernon have also opted for a grey tile floor, white cabinets, and a few sprinklings of art work on the walls.
Into the living area now, which judging by the size of the Christmas tree, we can only imagine how big the room is.
Again, the couple have kept things simple in terms of their decor, going for white walls and white flooring. The house has lots of natural light, probably partly due to the large bay window in shot, which also features a comfy sit down space.
Neutral vibes everywhere, it seems. From a beige velvet Chesterfield (how luxury) to a long curtains in a similar shade, Tess has brightened the area up with some house plants and a gold side table.
Tess’ dressing room looks like the GRWM area of dreams. Just look at that huge circle mirror – selfie central, we reckon.
Elsewhere, Tess has gone for a stunning grey and white marble dressing table complete with black legs. She has complemented the furniture piece with a fabric covered stool with matching chair legs.
To soften the space, Tess has added a tall standing lamp and a few vintage looking paintings in gold frames.
One room in the couple’s home looks to be getting a splash of colour. This Instagram shot of Tess getting her DIY on shows the presenter painting some sort of cabinet blue, as well as the window sill.
They’ve opted for wood flooring over grey tiling to give the room a warmer feeling, too.
We’re getting the impression this snap was taken at a later date following the do it yourself period. Vernon can be seen sitting in a leather white chair accompanied by his two dogs, where viewers can also see an original fireplace.
The couple have painted the fireplace black with the surrounding areas white, and even have an in built cove to the left where they store their firewood. Imagine how cosy this room will be in winter!
The couple’s bedroom looks like something out of a Laura Ashley showroom, and we’re obsessed.
With a vintage floral wallpaper, a white distressed four poster bed, plus ornate cream cabinets, Tess and Vernon have added an extra bit of personality with some sketched pictures hanging on the walls.
Is it just us, or does Tess’ outfit go so well with this room?!
