Bricktales to your living room using augmented reality, so you can build virtual bricks as well as physical ones.
Announced at Meta Connect 2023, CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that a LEGO Buy at Buy at Buy at Buy at -based game will be coming to the Meta Quest 3, the company’s new AR headset that will be released on October 10. However, the game might not be new to all, as LEGO Bricktales will be adapted to suit augmented reality gaming.
With AR, the brick-based levels will appear on any flat surface in your home, as pictured below. Using a controller in each hand, players can progress through the levels by building vehicles and equipment using physical actions, rather than just pushing buttons as in the original game (released roughly a year ago and coming to mobile earlier this year).
You can see how LEGO Bricktales AR will work in the announcement trailer that shows it in action. The original game was complimented for its rich level design and brick-accurate mechanics, so it will certainly be interesting to see how it translates to a mixed-reality experience.
LEGO Bricktales will release on December 7 for $29.99 and will be available on the Quest 3, the Quest 2, and Quest Pro. However, it’s worth noting that Quest 2 doesn’t have functionality for colour, so your surroundings will look black and white.
