CSK squad during their pre-season shoot (X.com)
In a progressive development ahead of the IPL 2024 season, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise has decided to put a complete halt on offline ticket sales. This year, fans can get their hands on tickets for CSK games via Paytm Insider application.
IPL 2024 season is just around the corner, with anticipation and excitement surrounding the carnival building up amongst the fans already. Fans have always been the ultimate kingpin of the IPL tournament.
Thus, to lessen off the burden and hustle of the fans to grab match tickets, CSK took a massive step in the right direction. Chennai Super Kings franchise has decided to abandon sale of tickets offline via counters. Instead, the yellow army can access Paytm Insider mobile application to fetch the tickets for CSK matches held in Chennai.
The significant reform comes after chaos took over the city last season during RCB and CSK match. Thousands of fans were left stranded on the counters as tickets were sold out by those standing ahead in the queues. Also, many reportedly re-sold the ticket in black for double the money, which raised concerns about CSK’s lack of competency in management.
Thus, this year, CSK has simplified the process of ticket purchase for the fans. The customers simply have to log into the Paytm Insider app, select the game they want to attend, and post online payment; a digital ticket will be generated.
That being said, CSK is yet to announce dates for live sale of tickets. As and when the impending season inches closer, updates will be shared on CSK’s social media handles.
