NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight south Essex establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in south Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Southend:
The Dog Cafe at 34 Barnstaple Road, Thorpe Bay was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 9.
Oyster Creek Kitchen at The Sun Shelter, 6 Western Esplanade, Westcliff was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 8.
South Essex Property Services Ltd at Civic 1, Victoria Avenue, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 8.
Wilsons Coffee Shop at 11 Station Road, Westcliff was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 4.
North, Coffee And Wine at 78 Broadway, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 2.
Patisserie Valerie at 52 High Street, Southend was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 19.
Subway, at 85 Prince Avenue, Southend-On-Sea, Essex was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 15.
Royal Wok, at 405 London Road, Westcliff was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 13.
